Deadman's fingers on the Pandora

Scuba Diving Northeast England, UK, Europe

Reader Reviews:

Dive Site: The Pandora (HMS Dolphin)

Location: North Shields, Newcastle (55°06'05"N; 01°27'09"W)

Description: 4,580 ton wreck

Length: 50 metres (164 feet)

Depth: 24 metres (78 feet)

Visibility: 4 to 10 metres (13 to 33 feet)

Rating: ****

This wreck is well broken up, but makes a good basic wreck dive. The bows are still discernable but be careful as the plates are starting to collapse. There was plenty of pollack around the wreck. We launched from South Shields slip - however Deep Blue in North Shields have a rib which will take you there.
