Scuba Diving in the Seychelles

Dive Site: Coral Garden

Location: Pepper Island, Seychelles

Description: Reef dive from a boat

Depth: 15 metres (50 feet)

Visibility: 12 metres (40 feet)

We took a boat from Desroches to get to Pepper Island, a small island currently in development as a resort and relatively untouched by divers. This dive just to the east of the island was stunning. There were fields of corals in all directions. It was pristine and had so many fish. Huge shoals of snappers, about 4 turtles, shoals of batfish, fusiliers, lots of butterflyfish and angelfish. We saw a huge solitaire barracuda up above.

At the end of the dive when we had taken off our kit, we were visited by some manta rays and we snorkelled with them.
