Scuba Diving in the Red Sea
Dive Site: Big Gubal Island
Location: 27°35'32"N; 33°46'40"E
Description: Reef / drift
Depth: 30 metres (100 feet)
Visibility: 40 metres (130 feet)
Rating: ****
Entry takes you straight to a sand eel garden, which you must approach with care in order to prevent the eels hiding under the sand. There is a lot of life here including thousands of tiny fish in the water near the reef, octopus, clownfish, parrotfish, and butterflyfish. This is a very pretty dive.
Reader Reviews:
This is a very pretty dive with a lovely eel garden and two big groupers hanging about. I saw five jacks in a pack and millions of glass fish. There were also black-eyed thick-lipped wrasse and a few single masked puffers.

Two weeks ago we went on a trip to the North wrecks. Thank you for the information on this site [No problem, we're glad it was of use! DSD]. Amazing.
