Lighthouse Reef is a 15 minute boat ride from Bounty Beach and is a popular spot for sunset or night dives. Current wasn't an issue at all when we dived here at sunset and the dive was done between 6 and 10 metres by simply meandering around, close to the boat covering a small area of reef. We dived here during the full moon, when the mandarin fish mating is at its most intense, although this is almost a nightly activity in the area. The seabed is entirely covered in hard coral which provides a great cover for the well camouflaged seahorses which are plentiful. Look carefully - they are literally everywhere, in yellows, greys and browns. All in all a very relaxing dive.
